OUR STORY
The JMODO Foundation honors the memory of Jay Odom, a 25-year-old young man whose life was tragically lost due to inadequate care for Sickle Cell Anemia. Our mission is to prevent further unnecessary deaths and heartache for families by ensuring that every young adult suffering from the disease has access to adequate medical care. We strive to implement clear protocols for patients with Sickle Cell Anemia during medical crises, provide a comprehensive transition blueprint from pediatric to adult care, and advocate for legislation to enforce meaningful change in healthcare practices.
OUR COMMITMENT
At the JMODO Foundation, we are dedicated to raising awareness about Sickle Cell Anemia and its challenges. Through community outreach, educational programs, and partnerships with healthcare facilities, we aim to empower patients and their families. Our foundation stands out by ensuring that no one faces this disease alone; we provide resources, support, and advocacy to improve the quality of care for those affected by Sickle Cell Anemia.
OUR MISSION
Advocating for Change
Our mission is to promote equality in healthcare for all individuals with Sickle Cell Anemia. We believe that every patient deserves access to quality medical care, regardless of their circumstances. By collaborating with healthcare providers and policymakers, we work tirelessly to create a supportive environment that prioritizes the health and well-being of patients. Join us in our fight to ensure that every young adult with Sickle Cell Anemia receives the care they deserve.
